We Know Screening Equipment

iO Plant are specialist dealers in used screening equipment and aggregate grading plant, supplying quality screeners to the aggregates, quarrying, topsoil, recycling and construction industries worldwide. Whether you need a mobile tracked screener or screening plant for aggregate grading, a trommel for topsoil or compost, or a heavy-duty scalper to take the impact of primary screening before crushing.

Our used screening plant ranges from compact single-deck scalpers through to triple-deck grading screens capable of producing multiple spec aggregate fractions simultaneously.

Looking for a specific make, model or deck configuration? We source to order through our global dealer network and regularly find machines that never reach the public market.

Screener Types

From heavy-duty scalpers for primary aggregate screening, to triple-deck grading screens for precise product sizing, trommel screeners for topsoil and compost, and mobile tracked quarrying screeners for contract operations — find the right screening plant for your application.

Scalpers

Heavy-duty primary aggregate screening plant built to handle dirty, oversize material. Remove unwanted fines and oversize before crushing or sale — the first stage of most quarrying and recycling operations.

Grading Screens

Precision two and three-deck screens for separating crushed material into multiple product sizes. Essential for producing saleable spec material.

Trommel Screens

Rotating drum screens — the go-to topsoil screener for compost, biomass and sticky or fibrous material that would blind a flat-deck screen. Gentle on the product, brilliant on throughput.

Mobile Screeners

Track and wheel-mounted mobile screening plant for on-site flexibility. Self-contained units with onboard power — set up in minutes, move between locations with no compromise on output.

Choosing The Right Screener

A quick overview of the considerations that matter when buying used screening equipment. If you'd like to talk through your specific application, our team are happy to help.

Match the Screener to the Material

The right screener depends on what you're processing. Hard, dirty quarry rock and demolition waste typically need a heavy-duty scalper as the first stage. Clean crushed aggregate going to spec needs a multi-deck grading screen. Topsoil, compost and sticky material almost always work best on a trommel.

Throughput, target product sizes (the cut points), moisture content and whether the material is sticky or fibrous all shape the right choice of machine and mesh setup.

What To Check On Used Equipment

Key things to inspect on any used screener: condition of the screen mesh and side liners, bearings on the vibrator motors or trommel drum, spring mounts, conveyor belt and roller condition, hydraulic and electrical systems, and structural integrity of the chassis where vibration loads concentrate.

Mobile vs Static

Mobile screeners — tracked or wheeled — give you flexibility to move between job sites and are ideal for contract screening or operations spread across multiple locations. They're typically more expensive to buy but earn their keep on the move.

Static plants suit fixed sites like quarries or recycling depots where continuous, high-volume production is the priority — lower running costs per tonne, higher capacity and more configurable deck setups than a mobile unit.

Finance & Total Cost of Ownership

Headline purchase price is only part of the picture. Mesh replacement, fuel or electricity consumption, transport and installation costs all factor into the real cost per tonne screened. Used machines often offer the best return on capital — modern features at a fraction of the new price.

Finance arrangements are available on most of our stock, spreading the cost across the working life of the machine.

Questions, Answered

A scalper is a heavy-duty primary screener designed to handle dirty, oversize material straight from the dig — removing unwanted fines and oversize before the crushing stage. A grading screen is used after crushing to separate the crushed product into multiple precise size fractions for sale. Most production lines use both.
Trommel screens use a rotating drum with perforated panels to separate material by size. They're commonly used for topsoil, compost, biomass and recycled aggregates where the material is sticky, fibrous or contains a lot of fines that would clog and block a flat vibrating deck screen. They're also more gentle on fragile material like compost.
Yes, finance arrangements are available on most machines in our inventory. Terms depend on the equipment, your business profile and the duration. Contact us with the machine you're interested in and we'll put you in touch with our finance partners.
Yes. We arrange transport for buyers worldwide through trusted heavy haulage partners. Delivery costs are quoted on a per-machine basis depending on size, weight and destination.
Pricing varies depending on type, age, hours, deck configuration and capacity. A small used screener might start around £10,000, while a near-new tracked triple-deck mobile screener can exceed £200,000.
